Most of our West-Coasters are, geographically, roughly situated in the western coastal suburbs of Cape Town. Areas include Table View, Blouberg, West Beach, Milnerton and surrounds. Although some of our people have moved to other areas, we don't let go of them that easily.
Think family on a large scale. Those you can call on when you have a flat tyre or need a lift.
Or when you are moving and need someone to help you transport all your unwanted junk to the charity shop!
We haven't had anyone needing to borrow a cup of sugar or flour yet, but we are close to that kind-of-close. When one household has a braai, and it's rugby season, everyone is automatically invited. Nothing too formal, we are far too chilled for that so, if you don't pitch, we know that means “see you next time”. We cross-pollinate, meaning that we often visit other hubs from other areas.
No exclusivity. Some of us love camping, taking long walks along the beach or cycling together.
Our all time favourite times spent together are popcorn and movies or a quick pop-overfor-a-meal because I cooked too much food. We carry each other's burdens and regularly check in on each other. It's a community we can call H♥ ME.
